Restoration Summer: Healing the Sickness Within

Healing the Sickness Within five week series starting june 9, 2009

The Summer of Restoration will resume the first week of July after Kamal Saleem.

Is it really what's inside that counts?

If so, what's really going on inside of you?

Worry?  Doubt?  Lonliness?  Lust?  Anger?

Sometimes the internal struggles that no one else sees are the ones that blind us most.  Get the inside story on how God offers hope and strength in overcoming these battles.

Womens' Ministry is Doing a New Study!

Thursday Mornings from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M.

Led by Lisa Backstrom.

The life of a woman today isn't really all that different from that of Mary and Martha in  the New Testament. Like Mary, you long to sit at the Lord's feet...but the daily demands of a busy world just won't leave you alone. Like Martha, you love Jesus and really want to serve him...yet you struggle with weariness, resentment, and feelings of inadequacy.

Then comes Jesus, right into the midst of your busy Mary/Martha life---and he extends the same invitation he issued long ago to the two sisters of Bethany. Tenderly he invites you to choose "the better part"---a joyful life of "living-room" intimacy with him that flows naturally into "kitchen service" for him.

Resolution at Christ Church!

Resolution is a new program with the next generation in mind. This class is for the developing teens at Christ Church. David and Ashley Gutierrez, Sara Griffin, Shayne Champlin, and Bobby and Shaina Moats will be teaching the class. We will be embarking on a journey through the Word and what it means to resolve in your heart to know and follow God. This is where you want to be if you are in junior high or high school.

What to expect:

This program is for the developing generation of leaders at Christ Church and in the Colorado Springs Community.  We take this generation very seriously, and we want to instill and cement a firm foundational structure through great relationships, the Word of God, and real life teachings about the things that they do and will face in their lives.

We know the value of having peers on the same path as we are in our lives, and we devote ourselves to creating an environment of: truth, love, discipline, and wisdom in our Lord Christ.  We can't wait to meet you!

Christ Church Testimonial

Sharene is a relatively new member of Christ Church.  She was driving by one day and now she is an active member of our family and we love her very much.  She was so gracious she wanted to put flyers on cars about her experience with us and this is what she wrote:

Hi, My name is Sharene, and my boys play baseball here at El Pomar. A couple of months ago, I brought my oldest boy for his team tryouts, and noticed that there’s a church nestled between the north entrance to the T-ball fields, and the south entrance. It’s in that teal and mustard-colored office building with the banner outside. We were warmly welcomed, and our whole family just loves Christ Church now.

I know, I hate “windshield junk” as much as you do. However, I put this note and postcard on your windshield because I wanted to invite you to come and visit. We’d love to have you come and see if this might be a great place for your family, too.

What to expect at Christ Church:

Imagine walking into a church where you are greeted by friendly smiling faces at the door. Friendly greeters will introduce themselves, and immediately point you into the area we call the living room here at Christ Church.  As you enter the living room to have a nice hot cup of coffee and maybe a pastry before service, you pass a hallway on the right that leads to the childrens ministry area where the teachers will be rounding up the kids for Sundays message.

About Us

pastor mark and angela     The year was 1994. The place was Southwest Colorado Springs. People began praying for a powerful presence through an evangelical church in that area of town. They were unaware of God's move on a couple in Nashville, Tennessee, but God was orchestrating. Around that same time, over 100 acres of land went up for sale in that same area. The year was 1994. The place was Nashville, Tennessee. An analytical biochemist at Vanderbilt, Mark Phillips, and his wife Angela were being called into the ministry.
