What to expect at Christ Church:
Imagine walking into a church where you are greeted by friendly smiling faces at the door. Friendly greeters will introduce themselves, and immediately point you into the area we call the living room here at Christ Church. As you enter the living room to have a nice hot cup of coffee and maybe a pastry before service, you pass a hallway on the right that leads to the childrens ministry area where the teachers will be rounding up the kids for Sundays message.
Promptly at 10 A.M. Angela Phillips, who is the worship director and Pastor Mark's wife, begins an uplifting performance, leading the congregation into the service with a fitting and current set of songs specifically selected for that day's sermon. As the worship concludes, Pastor Mark takes the stage after a prayer to give his message. The Pastor has a very interesting approach to everyone. One of his and Christ Church's core values is unity in the essentials of the bible and scripture, and liberty in the non-essentials, such as certain methods and practices of Christian worship. All of his messages will be straight from the Word of God through scripture, and will be completely relevant to today and what we all face as people in the business world, in parenthood, in school, and in the world as a whole. We are all the same. We are all broken, but we all have hope in Christ . We want to share that with you and everyone we can.
Please come and join us one Sunday. If you are curious, a devout believer in Christ, or a non believer, we would love to meet you and share with you our love of God and our wonderful home of Christ Church of Colorado Springs.
