Proverbs 3:5-6
Most Holy One,
We often sing aloud the words of that great hymn: “I need Thee, O I need Thee; Every hour I need Thee!” Oh, how we really do need you today! Forgive us for thinking that we know the better way. You are the only way and we put our trust fully in you. Take away our fears, anxiety, and distress, and help us see your way. Remove the blinders from our eyes, the plugs from our ears, and open our hearts so that we can become closer to you through our works and prayers.
Mighty Counselor, we ask you to lead us through the many decisions to be made soon for the future of your church. We desperately need your guidance as the church struggles to look to the future. Give us the vision that you want us to adopt so that we can be your hands, feet, and mouth for the spreading of your Word. Help us to shine your light over all the world. We know that we, the people, are your church and we are willing to do your work because we love you. Blessed is your name, now and forever!
