Hebrews 4:16; Philippians 4:19
Gracious, Holy. Awesome God,
So often life is messy – full of chaos, trials, and struggles. When we find ourselves undone by circumstances that affect our physical well-being, so often we try to fix those things by ourselves. After all, we have been taught to be independent and self-reliant.
However, Father, when circumstances and events affect our very heart and soul, we must cry out to you for help. We need You, not only to guide our steps and guard our hearts, but we also need You to speak into the hearts of those who find fault with the heart of the gospel and with Your Word.
We must stand firm in our beliefs because you will hold us responsible – we have a rich heritage of saints who have gotten us to this point and we must keep doing our part. Future generations depend upon our faithfulness. Strengthen us, Lord, in the power of the Holy Spirit; Let your will be made known to us and keep us always leaning on Your strength instead of our own, which is ever so weak. Today we are coming to you Lord Jesus to take Your yoke upon us as we lean into your power and strength to enable us to be triumph in the discernment and decision process ahead.
In Jesus’ Precious name,
Amen.
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”
Colossians 3:16 ESV
