The Couch Family: Eastern Europe

Thomas and Karen have lived and served in Eastern Europe with their 2 daughters, Sarah and Hannah, since 2016.  The Couches co-founded and continue to run the non-profit Elevate Outdoor Adventures and Leadership with the specific purpose of speaking life and hope into the young adults grappling with overwhelming hopelessness, a remnant from the region’s long-standing oppression and the culminating war in 1999.  Thomas & Karen love the opportunities to journey alongside participants in creation, sharing about the goodness of God’s kingdom and pointing to Jesus the author of life. Through Elevate they engage, grow and mentor participants both in classroom and outdoor learning environments inspiring a generation of value driven leaders who speak life into their families, communities, and country.
