Allocating a portion of what we have been blessed with back to God is a powerful witness to the importance of faith in our lives. You have made the Church part of your life. The Permanent Endowment Fund of Christ Church is your opportunity to make the Church a part of your legacy.
Your contribution shows an enduring act of love and commitment to Christ Church.
After all, we are the ancestors of the future church.
The unique part of a Permanent Endowment Fund allows contributors to gift assets that will be retained, invested, and managed for generations to come. The Permanent Endowment Fund is the means through which your gifts will become a living memorial and a perpetual source of financial support to benefit the physical Church, it’s ministries, and its programs.
The Permanent Endowment Fund of Christ Church (the Fund) was established to provide members and friends the opportunity to make charitable gifts to Christ Church that will become a permanent source of financial support and a living memorial. The Fund is maintained independent of the Church's operating budget. Once the balance of the Fund reaches a certain amount, the interest from the Fund may be used annually to support programs and needs not normally included in the Church’s operating budget. A gift to the Fund is a gift that keeps giving because the principle of the Permanent Endowment Fund is retained.
Gifts to the Fund may be designated or undesignated.
Designated gifts may be for a variety of purposes such as:
• Church ministries
• Facilities improvement and maintenance
• International missions.
Undesignated gifts will be included in a general fund.
Fund administration is the responsibility of the Permanent Endowment Fund Committee. The Committee works within the parameters of established investment and spending policies to oversee the monitoring and distribution of funds. The Committee is made up of nine voting members, including:
• Chair of the Operations Council
• Chair of the Ministry Council
• Chair of the Board of Trustees
• Chair of the Finance Committee.
Gifts to the Permanent Endowment Fund may be given in a variety of ways, including:
• Monetary gifts
• Property
• Financial assets
• Beneficiary designation of assets
Gifts made to the Fund may be made by you during your lifetime or as part of your estate plan in a will, codicil, or trust. Such gifts might include cash, stocks, bonds, or real estate. You may also designate Christ Church as a Beneficiary on assets such as life insurance and retirement plans. You may also consider giving a memorial gift in remembrance of a family member or church member, or a tribute gift to recognize special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, baptisms, etc.
There are estate and income tax advantages to making gifts to the Church, so check with a qualified attorney, CPA, or income tax advisor about how to maximize the benefit to you and the church.
