Funding is available for Christ’s Small Groups and Sunday School Classes to initiate mission related projects in their community by simply nominating their project through CHRISTmissions. Each project will be supported by up to $400.
Christ Members volunteer in several different ways at Crestview Retirement Community in Bryan, Texas. Christ volunteers help in their food pantry, socialize with the residents and participate in several activities.
Christ Members often need home repairs or small tasks. The James 1:27 Projects Team addresses these needs. Team members are notified via email when help is needed.
Kairos Prison Ministry shares Jesus' transforming love and forgiveness with incarcerated individuals and their families, helping them become loving, productive citizens. As a Kairos volunteer, you can spread the Gospel to those seeking help and guidance.
Once a year, Christ Church leaves the building on a Sunday morning to serve the community. Projects include visiting retirement homes, serving Meals on Wheels, doing minor home repairs, building wheelchair ramps, and thanking emergency and healthcare workers—all in the name of Jesus Christ.
Christ Members support Meals on Wheels by regularly delivering meals on weekday routes. Working in pairs, they not only provide food but also spend time visiting with the elderly residents they serve.
Christ Church supports Family Promise, a community-based organization helping families facing homelessness and low income achieve sustainable independence. Christ Members contribute by providing meals and support.
Christ Church has a Walk to Emmaus support group for both men and women. Members who have attended Walk to Emmaus can join existing accountability groups or participate in the biannual Emmaus Walks in April and October.
Church In Action (CIA) is a mission initiative focused on meeting community needs. Projects include building wheelchair ramps, repairing windows, installing handicap showers, and fixing home siding. Projects happen throughout the month, and members are always welcome to join the work.
Christ Members volunteer at Mobility Worldwide, a faith-based organization in Bryan, Texas. This volunteer-powered group builds three-wheeled, hand-cranked Mobility Carts, providing free vehicles to those in need, allowing them to travel where ordinary wheelchairs can't go.
Once a year, Christ Church embarks on a project that boldly declares God's work. Members unite to renovate or build a home for someone living in a dilapidated house. They contribute by constructing, painting, installing trim, laying flooring, or serving meals to the workers. Many also offer their professional services as needed.
oin over 100 Christ Members who want to stay informed about Mission-related projects and have the opportunity to help. Each Hands Team notice includes details on the work schedule, location, and project duration.
Talented Christ Members gather weekly to share their artistic gifts with those in need. From decorated gift bags and special cards to memorable pictures, their art adds a remarkable touch.
Christ Members can donate gently used clothes and housewares to the Community Clothes Closet. Periodically, a "free" clothes distribution is held with community groups supported by Christ Church.
Each year, funds are raised to give nearly 300 local kids a $125 shopping spree at Target. Christ Members accompany the kids to help choose clothes and a toy. Afterward, everyone gathers at the church for a Pancake Breakfast to celebrate the season.
On the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month, Christ Members sort and distribute food delivered by the Brazos Valley Food Bank to low-income families at our Christ campus. Volunteers are always welcome!
Preston’s Provisions provides home furnishings and furniture at no cost to homeowners in need. All items are generously donated by Christ Members.
Domestic
Each summer, Christ Church offers a Youth Mission Trip for middle and high school students, along with an annual college Mission Trip and a Youth Choir Trip. We also support visiting mission teams to the Bryan/College Station area.
